Ingredients

  • ½ cup(150g) Nutella
  • 1 cup+1 tablespoon (150g) self rising flour
  • 4 tablespoon whole milk

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, mix Nutella, self-rising flour, and milk. Mix with a spatula or knead with hands to make a smooth dough. Adjust the amount of milk as needed to achieve the right dough consistency.
  • Roll the dough into balls and place them on a baking sheet. Press them down with a fork or use a cookie cutter to create fun shapes for sandwich cookies.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes. Allow the cookies to cool completely.
  • For sandwich cookies, spread a layer of Nutella on the bottom of one cookie and top with another cookie.
  • Drizzle some melted Nutella on top for an extra touch of sweetness. Enjoy!

Notes

  • Measuring Flour: When measuring self-rising flour, be sure to spoon it into your measuring cup and level it off with a knife for accuracy.
  • Consistency Check: If your dough is too dry, add a little more milk, one teaspoon at a time. If it’s too wet, add a bit more flour.
  • Uniform Cookies: To ensure your cookies bake evenly, make sure to roll the dough balls to a uniform size.
  • Non-Stick Surface: If the dough is sticking to your hands, lightly dust them with flour or chill the dough for a few minutes.
  • Cooling: Allow the cookies to cool completely before adding Nutella for sandwich cookies to prevent the Nutella from melting too much.
  • Storage: Store the cookies in an airtight container to keep them fresh for up to a week.
  • Creative Variations: Feel free to add a sprinkle of sea salt on top of the cookies before baking for a sweet and salty flavor, or mix in some chocolate chips or nuts for added texture.
