Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Butter a 9x13 baking pan.
Fill buttered pan with bread cubes.
In a large bowl whisk the milk, eggs, vanilla, sugar and cinnamon together and pour over the bread. let the bread soak up the milk mixture for about 15 minutes.
Sprinkle chopped or sliced nuts and raisins.
Bake for 40-45 minutes or until the center is firm and top looks crispy.
