This easy to make cinnamon raisin bread pudding is made with basic pantry ingredients and can be served for breakfast or dessert.
Bread pudding is a dessert made with slightly stale bread and custard. It is a delicious treat to reduce food waste! This traditional version is decadent, delicious, and easy to make with basic ingredients.
Bread pudding can be made with any leftover bread like sourdough, brioche or cinnamon raisin bread for this recipe. I made this recipe with some leftover Texas toast.
INGREDIENTS:
- Bread : Slightly stale bread which is sturdy. you can use brioche, sourdough, or French bread.
- Milk: whole milk is best for bread pudding
- Egg
- Vanilla extract
- Sugar
- ground cinnamon
- Nuts: you can use any nuts. I used walnut.
- Raisin
- Butter: for greasing the pan
HOW TO MAKE CINNAMON RAISIN BREAD PUDDING:
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Butter a 9x13 baking pan.
Roughly cut bread into cubes and transfer it to the butter pan.
Whisk milk, eggs, sugar, vanilla extract and ground cinnamon. pour the custard mix over the bread cubes.
let it soak for minutes. Sprinkle chopped walnuts and raisins over the top.Bake for 40-45 minutes or until center is firm and top looks crispy.

- 4-6 slices bread, cut into cubes
- 2 cups whole milk
- 2 large eggs
- 4 tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ¼ cup nuts(walnuts, pecan or almonds)
- few raisins
- 1 tablespoon butter for greasing
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Butter a 9x13 baking pan.
- Fill buttered pan with bread cubes.
- In a large bowl whisk the milk, eggs, vanilla, sugar and cinnamon together and pour over the bread. let the bread soak up the milk mixture for about 15 minutes.
- Sprinkle chopped or sliced nuts and raisins.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes or until the center is firm and top looks crispy.
