Ingredients

  • 4 tablespoon salted butter, softened
  • ¼ cup sweetened condensed milk
  • ¾ cup+2 tbsp cornstarch

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine softened butter and condensed milk. Mix well until smooth and creamy.
  • Add ¾ cup cornstarch and knead the dough until soft, if the dough is too sticky add 1 tablespoon of cornstarch first then mix until smooth. if the dough is still sticky add the remaining tablespoon of cornstarch.
  • Roll a tablespoon of dough into a ball and place it on the prepared cookie sheet 1 inch apart. Press down with a fork.
  • Bake for 13-15 minutes or until edges turn golden in color. Dust with some powdered sugar.
  • Let the cookies cool completely in the cookies sheet then transfer onto a wire rack.

Notes

  • Uniform sizing: To ensure even baking, try to shape the cookie dough into uniform-sized balls. This ensures that they all bake at the same rate.
  • Allow for spreading: These cookies will spread slightly as they bake, so be sure to leave enough space between each cookie on the baking sheet.
  • Cooling time: Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely. This allows them to set and develop their final texture.
  • Storage: Store the cooled cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for optimal freshness. Placing a slice of bread in the container can help keep them soft and moist.

These are really good. I recommend to not to use extra 2 tbsp of cornstarch. Use a tsp or so extra to get the melt in your mouth texture. I already made them thrice. It's mind blowing how you can make cookies with only 3 ingredients.
