Ingredients

- Sesame seeds- I recommend to toast them in a pan to bring out their nutty flavor and add a slight crunch to the cookies.
- Ripe Bananas – They provide natural sweetness and help bind the ingredients together. I used medium-sized bananas for the right texture.
- Dark Chocolate Chips – I used medium-sized dark chocolate chips for a rich and deep chocolate taste. You can use dark, semi-sweet or even mil chocolate or chocolate chips.
- Peanut Butter – Adding 1-2 tablespoons gives a smooth texture and enhances the flavor. If you’re not a fan of peanut butter, almond butter or cashew butter can work as alternatives, giving a slightly different flavor profile.
Instruction
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Toast the sesame seeds in a pan over low heat for a few minutes, stirring often, until fragrant. Be careful not to burn them.
- Mash the ripe bananas with a fork in a bowl until smooth. Add the toasted sesame seeds and mix well.
- Drop a tablespoon of dough onto the baking sheet and use a spoon to shape it into a round. Press the back of the spoon in the center to create an indentation.
- Bake for 15 minutes, then let the cookies cool completely.
- Melt the chocolate chips with peanut butter in a microwave-safe bowl, using 30-second intervals, stirring after each until smooth.
- Pour a spoonful of the melted chocolate mixture into each cookie’s indentation. Let them set for a few minutes before serving.

Recipe tips
- Toast the Sesame Seeds Carefully – Be sure to toast the sesame seeds on low heat and stir them frequently. They can burn quickly if left unattended, so watch closely for that fragrant, golden color.
- Use Ripe Bananas – The riper the bananas, the sweeter and smoother the texture. Make sure they're soft and have brown spots for the best flavor and consistency.
- Let the Cookies Cool Completely – Let the cookies cool fully before adding the melted chocolate. This will help the chocolate set properly.
- Adjust Chocolate for Preference – You can use more or less chocolate chips depending on how chocolaty you want the cookies to be. You can also try different types of chocolate for variety.
- Store Properly – Keep the cookies in an airtight container to maintain their freshness for up to a week. You can also refrigerate them if you want them to last longer.

Notes
- Sesame Seed Toasting – Toasting the sesame seeds enhances their flavor, but be sure to keep the heat low and stir often to prevent burning.
- Chocolate Chips – You can adjust the amount of chocolate chips depending on how much chocolate flavor you prefer. Dark chocolate chips provide a richer taste, but you can use milk or semi-sweet chips if you prefer a sweeter cookie.
- Peanut Butter Substitutes – If you’re not a fan of peanut butter, almond butter or cashew butter can work as alternatives, giving a slightly different flavor profile.
- Cookie Size – If you make smaller or larger cookies, you may need to adjust the baking time slightly. Smaller cookies will bake a bit faster, while larger ones may need a few extra minutes.
- Cookie Texture – These cookies will be a bit soft when first baked, but they firm up as they cool. Let them cool completely before adding the chocolate to avoid any melting mishaps.
- Customize the Recipe – Feel free to add other ingredients like a pinch of cinnamon, vanilla extract, or even a handful of nuts for added flavor and texture.
